Every Day Low Price Program (EDL)Three times a year, uniPHARM offers all shareholders the Every Day Low Price (E.D.L.) program free of charge. The products featured on the E.D.L. program are specially selected by our buyers and EDL committee and reflect competitive retail pricing for the entire four months. The items featured in the EDL program are key performers in the top front store categories. KPI’s or Key Product Indicators are reflected in the EDL product mix. These items represent items that customers buy on a more frequent basis and are very aware of what reflects a “good price” on these items. Often regular pricing on these items influences the customer’s perception of the pricing strategy for the entire stores and as such, it is important for independent pharmacies to be competitive on these key items. We are very selective in the products chosen and the products are regularly price checked versus retailers in our competitive category to ensure that the pricing truly reflects an Every Day Low Price. Shelf talkers are supplied to support all E.D.L. products.
Two pricing zones are available for the E.D.L. program depending upon the competitive nature of your business and surrounding market. For those in the more highly competitive urban markets, we have the highly competitive Zone 1 available. For others in a more rural, non competitive market, we have Zone 2 available which offers a slightly higher margin on the E.D.L. products.
